Dave Wolak currently resides in Wake Forest, NC with his wife Jess and his son Jake. He travels the country while competing and promoting for his sponsors and his personal business. Prior to his career escalating in the outdoors/fishing industry, Dave earned a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from Misericordia University in Pennsylvania during which time he was a Professional Snow Ski Instructor of adults and children and played organized college baseball. Immediately following college (2000-2004) he worked for several years in the healthcare industry as the Rehab Division Coordinator for Pride Mobility Products, a world-leading power wheelchair manufacturer. For them, he traveled the country as an educator teaching rehab technology providers, therapists, physicians and other healthcare related individuals the functionality of high-end wheelchair technology and the associated components and arrangements necessary to fit a client properly. While doing so he pursued his passion of becoming a professional angler in the competitive arena while recognizing the value of marketing and promotions that go along with it. In late 2004 he qualified through the ranks to compete professionally and decided to put his healthcare career on hold and take a chance with fishing professionally. The decision ultimately led to numerous awards, opportunities and monetary earnings in the professional fishing industry and he since hasn’t looked back. He has enjoyed and continues to enjoy multiple sponsorship agreements with numerous worldwide corporations and always strives to exceed their expectations through reaching heights in competition performance and positive market/industry impact. He has been a host of several fishing television shows and is currently recognized as a fishing personality on both the local and national fronts. The eclectic mix of his diverse and unique background and life perspective offer our youth the ability to see how dreams can come to fruition even through sometimes difficult and unusual circumstances.
